Charles — Founder & Lead Instructor
Charles founded Advanced Recreation Compliance & Solutions LLC after more than two decades working in parks and recreation management. His experience spans playground inspections and safety audits, staff training, and compliance consulting for parks departments, school districts, and recreation organizations.
His hands-on background means ARCS training is grounded in what actually happens in the field — not just what the manual says. Every course, inspection, and consulting engagement reflects that experience.
Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI)
National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA)
The CPSI credential is the nationally recognized standard for playground safety inspection. CPSI-certified inspectors are trained to identify hazards, assess compliance with ASTM and CPSC standards, and produce actionable inspection reports.
All ARCS playground inspections and audits are conducted by a CPSI-certified inspector.
AHA Heartsaver Instructor
American Heart Association (AHA)
AHA Heartsaver Instructor certification authorizes the holder to teach and certify others in CPR, First Aid, and AED use following American Heart Association curriculum and standards.
ARCS CPR/First Aid/AED training follows AHA Heartsaver curriculum and results in AHA-issued participant cards.
NRPA CPRP — Certified Park and Recreation Professional
National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA)
The CPRP is the professional standard for parks and recreation practitioners. It demonstrates broad competency in recreation programming, facility management, and public safety.
ARCS Playground Maintenance & Safety Training qualifies for 0.6 NRPA CPRP continuing education credit (verify eligibility with NRPA).
